Bedside Health and Beauty Staples

I haven't written a beauty post in a while so I thought I'd do a quick round-up of what I keep on my bedside table. I carry out the majority of my evening skincare routine in the bathroom, but I do like to have a few products on hand as I settle down for the night. Here are my current favourites:

(I know this post is a little Liz Earle heavy - I'm not being paid/sponsored by them, I just love the brand!)

Liz Earle Eye Bright Soothing Eye Lotion. If I've had a long day I will pour a tiny bit of this onto two cotton buds and place them over my eyes before relaxing for a few minutes. It's amazing for refreshing tired lids and removing any excess mascara.

Liz Earle Orange Flower Hand Repair. I suffer with dry skin all year round so I like to keep a hand cream on me at all times. The Liz Earle hand repair is perfect for my bedside table; it's non-greasy and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. It has a wonderful herbal smell to it too which always helps me feel pampered and relaxed.

Liz Earle Superskin Eye & Lip Treatment. Once my moisturiser/serum has settled into my skin, I like to pop a little of this on my lids and around my brow bone. It has a cooling effect on the eye area which is lovely if I'm feeling especially sleepy!

I heard that this has recently been discontinued and replaced with the new Superskin Eye Cream, which I'm also eager to try.

Badger Sleep Balm. While I don't struggle to sleep, I do have trouble switching my thoughts off and unwinding sometimes, especially if I'm stressed! I originally looked into buying a pillow spray but I was worried they might irritate my skin, so I picked up a sleep balm instead. This is enriched with lavender and bergamot and is perfect for soothing and relaxing. I rub a bit on my lips, temples and wrists once I've gotten into bed.

A water bottle. Lastly, I always keep water on my bedside table in case I wake up in the night feeling dehydrated!

What are your bedside beauty staples?

  1. I also always have a water bottle on my bedside! This post was fascinating to read because I actually don't place any beauty staples on my bedside table, only my books and such. Lovely post! Xx

  2. Nice tip

  3. Aw I loved reading this. I'm such a massive fan of Liz Earle-I completely understand your obsession too. I used to have a badger balm that smelled like chocolate orange! I need to remember it, it was heavenly. ^_^
